Providing much needed holidays to deserving local children
Rochdale Children’s Home operates between March and September. It is a non-profit charity. The charity has two distinct functions, providing services and facilities for school children during term time and providing disadvantaged children a holiday during school holiday periods. These children are referred by children’s social care, schools and community groups.

Costs and visit overview
Due to increasing costs, Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home has had to implement a pricing structure from the 2025 season to enable us to continue providing the service. We have carefully considered the current pricing structure to ensure value for money. Visits will be chargeable at the following rates:
Day visits– £250.00 per day for a class of up to 30 children and staff from 9 am until 3 pm. This will include lunch for all guests,
Residential Stays- £280.00 per 24-hour period. This would allow guests to arrive at 9 am and depart the following morning at 10 am. All meals and drinks are provided on residential. Pack lunches are available upon request. Residentials can run Monday to Friday during school term times. Some schools choose to bring their children in 2 groups and swap halfway through the week to enable all children to have the opportunity.
Arrival and departure times for visits may be flexible depending on staffing and other bookings. Please discuss this with Alison or Heather on 01706 960 915.
There is a sample food menu, which can be used as a guide but you can request other options. This is available to view/ download below.
